I have the Ashrune steel sword, was looking for maximum damage, what is the best rune set up. For those who don't know, it is a relic sword with 3 slots. I prefer poison, bleed or burning for steel swords. If the steel sword naturally has + armor penetration, that's a bonus.
Typically from what I've noticed, is that common items will usually have one to no sockets for runes. Rare weapons or armor and enhanced Witcher gear will have 1 to 2 sockets, magical weapons or armor and superior Witcher gear will have 2-3 sockets.
